Lighthouse Christian College Makos Make History with Ninth Win, Eye Conference

The Lighthouse Christian College Makos continue to rewrite their young football history, setting a new program milestone with their ninth win of the season under first-year Head Coach Dave Wilson. The Makos’ 46–17 victory over Louisiana Community Christian capped off a dominant regular season performance that showcased both explosive offense and relentless defense.

Quarterback Ashton Nunes directed an offense that rolled up more than 400 total yards, spreading the ball around to a host of playmakers. Touchdowns came from Jamarkus Jefferson, Troy Medlin, Trent Medlin, and Deonte Reinhardt, as the Makos offense proved too much for the Crusaders to handle.

Defensively, Lighthouse continued to shine behind the standout play of safety Kemontre Current, who recorded his ninth and tenth interceptions in just four games—adding another pick-six to his growing highlight reel. The Makos defense held Louisiana Community Christian to just 68 yards rushing, smothering the Crusaders’ attack and forcing multiple turnovers throughout the afternoon.

The victory not only marked the most wins in a single season in program history but also solidified the Makos as one of the premier rising teams in the New South Conference. Lighthouse now turns its attention to the Conference Championship matchup against North Division champion Clayton State on November 15th at 2 p.m. EST in Morrow, Georgia.

With history already made, the Makos are now chasing another first—a double-digit winning season and an overall conference crown.
